Competitive order:
According to the Austrian WO and the Sporting Code, and the competition rules of the organizer which will be announced during the briefing. The competition is held in the name of the ÖeAeC.

Liability:
The organizer does neither assume liablility for the pilots nor third parties. The participation, the transfer and the retrieval are at the pilot’s own risk.

Task
It is a walk and fly competition - within 12 hours only by foot and by air as far away from the starting point as possible and back again. The direction is not set by the organizer, it is open to the pilot’s ability, fitnes and mood.
The pilot must not use any other means of transport. The minimum equipment must always be with the pilot. The athlete may have a supporter.

Evaluation:
A minimum of 20 % of the total distance must be covered by flying! If an athlete reaches less than 20 % flying-distance, there will be so much substracted from the hiking distance until 20 % of the flying distance is reached.

Valuation
The track will be documented via GPS that will be handed out from the Bordairline organization. However, we recommend to have a back-up GPS with altitude recording.

Safety
Only pilots who are in possession of the required licenses, the necessary equipment and insurances may participate.

Each participant and supporter must carry a working and always switched-on mobile phone. Each participant who will not make it to the finish until 8.00 pm must call the retrieval manager until 8.30 pm at the latest.
The athletes will be informed via SMS if the competition needs to be cancelled due to an emergency or sudden change of weather.
Those who violate the flight rules for paragliding, commit air space violations or otherwise behave un-athletically will be disqualified.
If a third party suffers from a violation, the pilot will be called to account.
A Bordairline Sheriff will randomly check the equipment during the competition.

Equipment
The equipment of the participants must comply with the Austrian legal regulations.
Each participant must constantly carry a minimum equipment consisting of glider, harness with protector, helmet, rescue system, GPS-device and mobile phone. A supporter may carry food, dry clothes, sleeping bag etc.

Participation
The number of participants is limited to 70 pilots (according to sequence of registration, tandem counts as single).

Service:
The pilot’s entry fee of € 40,00 includes a day-membership at the 1. Werfenwenger Flugsaurier Fliegerclub, starter kit, snack at the briefing, maps, GPS data logger, shuttle and retrieval service.

Protest:
Protest fee is € 50,00. Protests must be admitted to the jury at the latest 30 minutes after the announcement of the results. The jury then decides.
